Tame mountain passes with Cycling Heidi!

Do descents make you anxious? Are you completely exhausted by a series of mountain passes? If yes, then this “mountain” workshop is the solution to riding in the mountains with confidence and pleasure.

  • Workshops are for people in good physical condition.
  • Workshop for beginners who have taken the basic workshop or for experienced cyclists who are looking to expand their technique
  • Workshops are open to all, except when listed as 100% Women
  • Gravel bikes welcome, but focus is on road techniques

Frequently asked questions

  • Can men participate?

Of course. While some of my classes are exclusively for women, many public events are open to all participants. And of course, private workshops and classes are open to all.
In my 15 years of guiding, I’ve helped many men become better cyclists, so don’t be shy 😉

  • I’ve been cycling for years, but I’m looking to focus on a specific problem that’s having a negative impact on my cycling experience. Can you help?

Yes. A private lesson is probably the best option in your case so that we can spend 100% of our time together working on your personal goals.

  • Can you help me learn basic skills, such as putting on the pedals or riding around town?

Yes, I can help cyclists of all levels, even beginners!

  • Can you help children/families?

Yes. Although my techniques are primarily designed to help adults overcome the preconceptions that block their progress on the bike, I can also work with children to help them acquire reflexes and good habits that will stay with them throughout their lives.

  • Can you help me improve my gravel skills?

If you’re a beginner, I can help you learn the basic techniques. However, I’m not a gravel bike specialist and if you’re an intermediate rider, I can refer you to another coach.

  • I’m terrified of going downhill. Can you help me?

Yes, that’s where I’ve helped my clients the most in my 15 years as a guide. My aim is not to make you fast; my aim is to take away the fear and give you the confidence to improve your downhill experience.

  • What type of bike do I need to take part in the workshops?

The workshops are designed to help cyclists develop their skills on a road or gravel bike. The workshops are not designed to develop skills on a mountain bike or city bike. E-road and e-gravel bikes can be used switched off, but some skills may be easier/difficult to develop because of the extra weight of the bike.

  • In what languages are courses offered?

English and French only. Mein Deutsch ist wirklich nicht gut.

  • Do I need to be in good physical condition to take part in the courses?

No. We often put too much emphasis on physical training, forgetting that cycling also requires skill. And good technique means using less energy and minimizing fatigue. Skill courses are designed to teach the basics of stability, control and energy conservation methods. Cyclists of all levels can participate.

  • What coaching services do you offer?

My specialty is training techniques and overcoming the mental barriers that prevent you from riding to your full potential. I’m not a sports coach. If you’re looking to improve your physical performance, I can recommend other trainers.
