Become your best cyclist!

Feeling a little lost in the world of cycling? Wondering whether you need a bike-fit, a training plan or better cycling shorts to solve all your problems? Do you feel inadequate or abnormal because you’re terrified of riding in a group? Or taking a bend because of a bit of gravel on the road?

When we think about improving ourselves on the bike, we often focus solely on training our muscles and eating well, forgetting that cycling is as much a tactical sport as it is a physical one. A highly skilled rider on a well-functioning bike can outperform another rider in better physical shape.

Working together, I’ll help you identify the physical, mental and mechanical (bike and equipment) factors that will improve your experience on the bike. I will help you forget your bad habits, develop good basic skills and accelerate your progress towards becoming a master cyclist. I won’t make you stronger, but I will make you smarter!

  • Everything you always wanted to know about biking* (*but were afraid to ask)
  • 360° analysis to identify ways of improving your cycling experience, while taking your budget into account
  • Evaluation of your bike and equipment to determine your specific needs and/or modifications required
  • Define a routine and specific technical training exercises to be practiced
  • Identify mental blocks that slow down the learning process
  • Working directly with you to identify and correct bad habits
  • Master the following skills, and more
  • Conservation of energy
  • Riding in a corner/series of corners
  • Avoiding objects, especially when under stress
  • Braking technique in various situations
  • Managing stress levels and lowering anxiety
  • Riding with confidence on mixed surfaces (gravel, wet, poor quality asphalt, etc)

Frequently asked questions

  • I’ve been cycling for years, but I’m looking to focus on a specific problem that’s having a negative impact on my cycling experience. Can you help?

Yes. My specialty is training specific balance and coordination techniques on the bike, teaching ways to bypass bad habits and positions, and helping you to overcome the mental barriers that are prevent you from riding to your full potential.

  • Can you help me learn basic skills, such as putting on the pedals or riding around town?

Yes, I can help cyclists of all levels, even beginners!

  • Can you help children/families?

Yes. Although my techniques are primarily designed to help adults overcome the preconceptions that block their progress on the bike, I can also work with children to help them acquire reflexes and good d habits that will accompany them throughout their lives.

  • Can you help me improve my gravel skills?

If you’re a beginner, I can help you learn the basic techniques. However, I’m not a gravel bike specialist and if you’re an intermediate rider, I can refer you to another coach.

  • I’m terrified of going downhill. Can you help me?

Yes, that’s where I’ve helped my clients the most in my 15 years as a guide. My aim is not to make you fast; my aim is to take away the fear and give you the confidence to improve your downhill experience.

  • In what languages are courses offered?

English and French only. Mein Deutsch ist wirklich nicht gut.

  • Do I need to be in good physical condition to benefit from skill training?

No. We often put too much emphasis on physical training, forgetting that cycling also requires skill. And good technique means using less energy and minimizing fatigue. My coaching is designed to teach the basics of stability, control and energy conservation methods. Cyclists of all levels can participate.
